Yeah, certainly on the, erm, Michael Palin list that I was on, the woman
who ran the list has been written to by Palin's management *twice* now
about the way she's doing things and the claims she's making on her
website which she's now shut down, I didn't ... I didn't tell her to
shut 'em down she just shut 'em down herself, but I think Mark Thomas,
sorry, erm, Michael Palin's management did tell her to perhaps shut them
down, erm, again I took all the key posters with me to a Michael Palin
list I set up and they were all happy to be there, they thought my list
was great, we had competitions, I gave out prizes, we had, erm, what's
called the obquotes where every time you posted anything you have to
come up with a suitable Michael Palin quote or get a forfeit of some
sort, and er, it's was a really good fun list, and everyone was really
happy with it I know from the feedback I was getting I've shut both the
Mike Palin, Mark Palin, sorry I'm getting a bit mixed up here the, erm,
Palin lists, and the erm, like I say the Michael Palin list and the,
erm, erm, erm, Lord Gnome lists down because I was having [just/such?]
computer problems and an illness and other things, erm, I'll probably
resurrect them at some point, erm, and erm, I'm also gonna set up a UK
Al Stewart list which, erm, Al Stewart's manager told me to go and do,
because the list, the existing list is very Californian biased, as I
think I explained to you, erm, and there's a lot of new-age
American/Californian stuff and a lot of Europeans had a lot of trouble
on that list, er, a lot of people had a lot of trouble on that list
basically, not just me, although I was probably the most high profile
one, a lot of people have, of Europeans particularly have, Brits
particularly have signed on and left, I mean, one guy who actually runs
an Al Stewart site in the United Kingdom, [it's/he's?] highly regarded
he stormed out saying I can no longer toler...have erm this [garbled] in
my house, and that was about some big flame war that went on before I
arrived, I say ,after I left there was another big flame war, several
flame wars, and the owner just shut the list down for a week, and then
when she started it up again she brought a three-posts-a-day limit in,
so, you know <haha>, it's not true that I just go round causing trouble,
also I'm on a lot of professional lists and have been for many years,
and I I there are proble...
