VOICE OF SCOTLAND Daily Record 10/04/2002 [...] I REFER to the story about the three years' probation and 200 hours community service which Aberdeen man Anthony Nicolson received for downloading 864 child pornography pictures. As the UK press liaison officer for AntiChildPorn.org (ACPO), I am appalled that Mr Nicholson did not receive a custodial sentence, as Gary Glitter did. It is a simple fact that people like Nicholson and Glitter are, by their actions, driving the demand for this appalling material. Anyone wishing to learn more about the work of ACPO is welcome to contact any of the officers listed on our site (www.antichildporn.org). I can be contacted at igomeche@antichildporn.org. - Ian Gomeche, Banchory, Aberdeenshire. [...]
